Inside Sales Manager
We are an instrumentation manufacturer in Andover, MA that makes water analysis equipment primarily for industrial applications, across wastewater and aquaculture. Most sales are done through a worldwide distribution/OEM network. We are looking for an driven sales individual to expand our presence in the market and manage the day-to-day of the sales process. This person will build sales from existing accounts, set up new accounts, and be apart of the customer facing initiatives with our channel. An enthusiasm to be part of a growing company and the willingness to work hard to achieve its growth potential are key.
- Increase gross sales per distributor/OEM.
- Add distributors to under-represented geographic areas.
- Coordinate communications between company and distributors.
2. Responsibilities
- Respond to sales leads and RFQ’s and follow through to completion.
- Establish and maintain relationships with distribution & OEM channel partners. Set expectations via written agreements.
- Track performance of distributors. Replace low-performing distributors.
- Schedule calls with distributors to review performance, gather input and conduct product training.
- Communicate with and build database of end-users to whom marketing department can address.
- Understand basic setup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of company’s instrumentation.
3. Essential Qualifications
- Experience with inside sales, especially through sales channels (distribution partners, private label, OEM).
- Experience selling and supporting instrumentation or technical products.
- Coursework in science, engineering.
- Excellent technical, organizational, communication, and problem resolution skills.
4. Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation within the industrial sector.
- Experience in the water or wastewater instrumentation industry is a benefit.
